So whats new?

Events+

Many customers liked our Events Calendar plugin, but we can never just offer one option. Events+ allows a different approach, with a different interface for setting up clubs. The coolest features with Events+ is the ability to college paypal payments (think registrations, dinners, raffles) as well as the ability for the Club Website to have an RSVP, but one that allows users to use their Facebook, Google, Twitter, accounts to do it (they don’t have to be registered to your site first!)

Classifieds Added

We had to sort out some bugs, so this has been on the network for a while, however, it finally works with all of our themes (it only worked with about 3/4 before, unfortunately, not the one almost all of our Snowmobile Club customers use). This Classifieds Plugin allows a simple classifieds section to be created on your website so your club members can sell goods, or perhaps your club can use it to sell your merchandise and gear to help raise money.

Fundraising

This is a nifty feature targeted more towards big events and major drives. It allows you to set goals, and tracks donations made to your cause and displays them to your website visitors. Use this for any important goal for anything your club needs.

Advertising Widget and Pop-Up

You can add an advertisement or ad rotation to be embedded in a widget format, so it is more responsive to your theme instead of plain HTML. It also includes an option to add a popup advertisement to your Club’s Website visitors. But best of all, you can choose WHO sees the ads. Club Members, Logged in users, Generic Users, Search Referrals, etc!

And of course we are revising our payment gateway. Now you can use Credit card on ClubHosting to purchase your club webhosting subscription. This just seems to work better for us than PayPal, as we can modify your subscriptions and add line item charges should you need it without having to revise things. As a result, ClubHosting has improved SSL security. While we don’t actually host credit card OR payment information, we tightened up security anyway.

We are also working hard this week and next to improve the layout and design of our own website. Meanwhile, we are getting new clubs added to the network so everyone is up and running before snowmobile season!
