We’re in the middle of the snowmobile season, and we have added a sizeable amount of snowmobile clubs to the network. Especially since our own snow conditions are terrible!. However, I wanted to let everyone know that we have had a large amount of clubs coming in asking us about other possible pojects. ClubHosting started to help snowmobile and ATV clubs with low cost but highly useful snowmobile club website.
Just wanted to remind you though that we are not JUST snowmobile club website hosting providers, but we can fit many other needs as well. When spring rolls around, we suspect we will be welcoming many more sites to the club website hosting family, which will challenge us in new ways. Every time we add a unique site to the network, we adapt our service and fine tune it to make it a little better. So hopefully these new clubs end up helping us add functionality that helps improve your own site.
What are we working on? Whats New?
New to is our custom setup process. We have scrapped the old fashioned phone tag and 100 emals causing many sites to get done much slower than necessary, and moved to a streamlined setup process. Fill out the forms, and you get a site in 2 days. Done. No more messing around. So for those that suffered through our old process, our apologies, but now it really is better.
What are we working on? A new way of listing directories of links. We want to be able to allow clubs to add and remove links with greater ease. Stay tuned when we finally get this done.
New Features for Club Website Hosting Customers? Yes, about 100.
We aren’t fibbing!
We added about 100 themes to the network. Check them out if you want to try something new. If you want a DEMO site to play with themes and not break your existing site, drop us a line with your username and we will set one up for you to play with.
We’ve also added some new Gravity Forms plugins that enhance functionality for many of our club website customers. The biggest favorite of ours is the PICAPTCHA plugin. Check it out. It replaces the reCAPTCHA text everyone gets wrong with pictures that people get right, but spam bots do not. I especially like it because it seems to have cut down on my spam.
Also – we upgraded the framework. So you have a new media manager, but we’ve already talked about that. There is no reason you shouldn’t have a photo attached to every post now though, just recycle your existing images if feeling particularly lazy!.
Our Development Schedule?
About 1 week from order. We are launching a new site for the “day job” which is sucking up a lot of effort. However, we encourage clubs to help push others into updating websites.
