Club Website Design Tip – CSS Floats

NickClub Website Tips & Advice

I wanted to share a joke for those who are on the network who are doing their own website design. We often use CSS on a day to day basis, and constantly tweak and modify it. One of our favorite things about CSS is the ability to FLOAT sections around the page, outside a standard linear HTML document (think tables).

However, floating thousands of things makes you need to clear those floats. It also allows for funny jokes amongst our website developers. So I wanted to share a conversation that was had in the office today.

Yeah – I guess ClubHosting now does website deisgn jokes too.

“Yeah, or best to encase it in another div”

–“So many floats though”

“Better watch out for the page, or it might get away from you”

–“Maybe I will just put Kristie Alley in the footer, to help weigh it down.”

“LOL”[/box]
